Katherina Hristova won the Diamond Prize with her work The Woodland Book Nook, receiving the title of Best Music of the Season in the Music – Film / Game Scoring category at the Global Best Creative Awards.

Her composition stood out for its evocative storytelling, rich emotional layers, and cinematic musical language, capturing the attention of the jury with its artistic depth and professional excellence. In recognition of this outstanding achievement, Katherina Hristova was invited to join the Global Best Creative Awards Hall of Fame — Musician, marking her as one of the most distinguished music creators of the season.
Katherina Hristova is a German-Bulgarian composer for film and media based in Los Angeles. She graduated from the Screen Scoring program at USC with a Master’s degree and holds a Bachelor degree in Composition from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (UK). She has recorded at top stages like Warner Brothers, East West, and Hollywood Scoring and has worked with orchestras across the world, for example the Spanish Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra (RTVE), The Midland Sinfonia and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO).

Her piece "Maleficent,” recorded at Warner Brothers with a 65-piece orchestra, won 3 awards across international competitions (Golden prizes in Global Genius Competition and World Artistry Music Award Competition, and 2nd prize in the International Youth Music Competition).
Katherina has a strong foundation in melodic development, storytelling and musical expression through her background in songwriting and concert music. She loves collaborating with filmmakers and animators to help bring their story alive and support their emotional subtext, and deeply treasures the sound of live orchestras.
Besides composing, Katherina has also experience in arranging, orchestrating, music editing, music preparation/copying, and mixing. In addition she fosters her passion for playing the piano with which she has won 3rd prize in a prestigious German piano competition (Jugend Musiziert) in 2017.
